We'll meet at the Avenida Beira Mar, number 3211, next to the Praia de Iracema. From this location on the coastal promenade of Fortaleza, we'll start this adventure with the Atlantic seabreeze in the background. Ready to paddle?
Before entering the water, we'll give you a short technical chat about the Polynesian outrigger boats, also known as the Hawaiian canoe. We'll learn how to get on board the boat, hold the paddle, and coordinate your stroke with the rest of the group. This part is crucial, as sailing in this type of boat is all about the synchronized rhythm achieved through teamwork.
Afterward, we'll board the canoe and start to glide along the waters of the Praia de Iracema. Our route will depend on the sea conditions. Along the way, you'll be able to see the statue of Iracema Guardiã or the vast Mercado dos Peixes.
With each stroke, we'll gently advance along the Fortaleza coastline, taking in the beach from a different perspective. We'll admire the silhouette of Avenida Beira Mar, the golden sand, and the Atlantic Ocean stretching out before us. Depending on sea conditions, the paddle may be more relaxed or more dynamic.
If we enjoy the canoe ride at sunset, we'll sail as the sky changes color and the Praia de Iracema takes on that lively late-afternoon atmosphere. It's the Fortaleza experience at its best!
After the ride, we'll return to the starting point, where we'll say our goodbyes after 1 hour.
