Stutthof Concentration Camp
We'll meet at 9:30 am at the Hilton Hotel in Gdansk and head for the Stutthof concentration camp, about an hour away. Did you know that was the first one built by the Nazis outside Germany?
When we get there, we'II travel back in time to the 2nd of September 1939, when the Nazis took the former Stutthof work camp and reopened it as a concentration camp.
We'll spend an hour and a half touring the museum, listening to the stories of some of the 125,000 prisoners who lived there. We'll see replicas of the bedrooms, the crematorium and the gas chamber, where 85,000 people were killed. We'll also visit the SS watchtower.
We'll head back to Gdansk at 1:30 pm and take you back to the starting point to finish the trip.
Everyone can go on this trip. However, the recommended minimum age is 13.
