At 11 am we'll meet at George Square, at the foot of the Queen Victoria equestrian sculpture.. The free tour will start by visiting the Duke of Wellington sculpture. You'll discover the ironic Scottish humour, and be surprised by its history!
Nearby is Buchanan Street, Glasgow's shopping street par excellence. We'll explore the city's past, one of the most important in the United Kingdom during the Industrial Revolution and the birthplace of great inventors. We'll also find out about Charles Rennie Mackintosh, one of Glasgow's most famous architects.
We'll walk along the banks of the River Clyde towards the old Tolbooth, the most central point of the city during the 17th century. We'll discover the history of this iconic bell tower and continue our free tour by visiting another of Glasgow's most important landmarks, the Cathedral. Did you know that it is the oldest cathedral in Scotland?
After 2 hours of sightseeing, the tour will end at the top of the Glasgow Necropolis while admiring one of the best views of the city.
