Stradbroke Island Day Trip
With this day trip to Stradbroke Island, you'll be able to see kangaroos and dolphins, relax on the beach and enjoy a beachside barbecue! What more could you ask for?
Stradbroke Island Day Trip
We'll come and pick you up from your hotel in the Gold Coast between 7 and 7:30 am. From there, we'll set off on an approximately one-hour long journey to Cleveland, north of the Gold Coast. On the trip, we'll stop to see kangaroos and koalas roaming in the wild.
Afterwards, we'll catch a ferry and sail through Moreton Bay, until we reach Stradbroke Island. On this approximately half an hour long boat ride, you'll have the chance to see the incredible marine life and enjoy a delicious tea with cake and biscuits.
Once we reach Stradbroke Island, we'll climb on board an offroad vehicle to explore the most spectacular scenery on the island; we'll stop at beautiful lakes, panoramic viewpoints and strategic places from which you'll be able to admire the fascinating animals that live here. After approximately two hours, we'll then leave the 4x4 vehicle behind and we'll trek to North Gorge, where you can spot dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays and, if you're lucky, you'll even see humpback whales.
Next, we'll head to a nearby beach where you can relax and take a dip while we prepare a delicious Australian barbecue. You'll then enjoy this tasty barbecue and learn about the Aboriginal communities in Australia, seeing some of their most famous artefacts, such as the boomerang and the didjeridu.
After satisfying your appetite in the most incredible natural surroundings, we'll make our way back to the port to take the ferry back to Cleveland. Once again, you'll be able to enjoy tea and cake on the ferry, and when we make it back onto dry land, we'll return to your hotel in the Gold Coast.
