    The trip was really great. Awesome landscape, great guide and a really great experience. The only exception was the lunchbreak, it was a bit to short for so many people to eat.

    Nick, our tourguide/driver, was entertaining and accommodating throughout the whole tour. There were loads of best spots, but my top 3 would be: Commando Memorial with the view of Ben Nevis (lucky for us, the clouds cleared up), the Three Bridges, and Loch Ness. I’m used to long drives and enjoyed the whole day of just enjoying the views. This tour definitely made me want to explore Scotland more. Thank you to the team and special mention to Nick for allowing me to take memorable pics!

Nestled in the breathtaking Scottish Highlands, Loch Ness stands as the second-largest lake—an enchanting natural gem which has been the setting of countless mysteries and legends. 

The most famous monster on the planet

Loch Ness became world-famous for the monster affectionately known as Nessie, whose origins can be found in Scottish Folklore. The legend of the Loch Ness Monster came to worldwide famein 1933, when a photograph of the monster was published in a newspaper. It is now known that this image was a hoax, and 'Nessie' was in fact a plastic snake mounted on a toy submarine. 

Did you know...

Loch Ness is an exceptionally deep freshwater lake—around 230 metres (755 feet) at its deepest point. In fact, it contains more water than all of the lakes in England and Wales combined! What could be hiding in the depths of these waters?

How to get to Loch Ness

From Edinburgh, it is a 3.5 hour drive to Loch Ness. Alternatively, you can take a train to Inverness and then take a bus to Loch Ness itself.

If you're travelling from Glasgow, it is also a 3.5-hour drive, or else it is a 4-hour journey by train.

When is the best time to visit?

The best time to visit Loch Ness is during the spring. April and May are the driest months and temperatures are generally milder.
