Leave the city of Jeju behind for the day and delve into the natural wonders of the island on this tour of Seogwipo. Walk through the mountains, discover the volcanic landscapes and surround yourself with idyllic coastal landscapes. Unmissable!
Seogwipo Day Trip
Having been picked up from your hotel, you'll set off down the so-called Mysterious Road of Jeju. Discover the optical illusion created by this highway, and why, many years ago, the locals thought that cars were defying gravity on its hills.
At around 10:20 am, you'll reach Mount Hallasan, located in the Southsan National Park. Embark on a hiking trail of just under a mile (1.3 km) in length. During the half hour trek through the national park, you'll pass by the cone volcano known as Eoseungsaengak. What's more, if it's a clear day, you'll have a unique panoramic view over the islands of Chuja, Biyang, Seongsan-Ilchulbong and Jeju.
Continuing onwards to Seogwipo, you'll make a second stop at the Alive Museum, where you'll find fascinating exhibitions mixing art and optical illusions. You'll even be able to create your own works of art!
Arriving in Seogwipo at around 1:10 pm, you'll have a well-earned break to enjoy a traditional Korean lunch. Then, after eating, you'll make your way through the city to Jusangjeoli Cliff, a spectacular volcanic rock formation that will leave you speechless.
You'll then get to enjoy the views of Oedolgae Rock, a tiny islet jutting out of the sea that the locals call Grandma Rock... do you know the legend of the granny and her fisherman husband?
Finally, your last stop in Seogwipo will be at the Jeongbang Waterfalls. The only waterfalls in Korea to cascade directly into the sea, the incredible noise of the water sounds like thunder! Surrounded by the dramatic cliffs and mysterious pines that cover Jeju Island, you'll be breathtaken by these captivating natural landscapes.
Your tour will come to an end with drop off back at your hotel in Jeju at around 4:45 pm.
