Nature, culture and tradition come together on this guided tour of West Jeju Island: discover beaches, gardens and tea plantations of the South Korean isle.
West Jeju Island Tour
Between 8 am and 9 am on the day of your tour, meet your guide at your chosen pick up point. From there, you'll begin your route around the west of Jeju. The first stop on your tour will be Hyeopgjae Beach which is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches on the island thanks to its white sand and piercing cobalt waters.
After admiring the beach, you'll be taken to the nearby Geumneung Stone Park, an area famous for its stone sculptures demonstrating tradition and daily life in Jeju. Here, you'll spend around an hour discovering the curious statues, before continuing onwards to Sanbanggulsa Temple. Following an hour long drive through the island's distinctive natural landscapes, you'll reach this Buddhist sanctuary, unique for its location within a cave.
Explore the temple and enjoy lunch nearby before making your way to the next stop: Songaksan, also known as the Mountain of 99 Peaks. Can you guess how it earned this name?
Later, your adventure around Jeju Island will continue with a visit to the O'Sulloc Green Tea plantation. This museum will allow you to discover one of Korea's ancestral traditions: the cultivation of green tea. During your hour-long visit, you'll have the opportunity to taste exclusive teas and to relax beside the lotus pond in the gardens. Don't forget to check out the viewpoint overlooking the extensive tea fields before leaving!
At the end of a wonderful day exploring West Jeju Island, you'll be dropped back off at your original pick up point in the city at around 6:30 pm.
