Korcula Walking Tour
Korcula Walking Tour
We'll meet on the stairs of the famous entrance to Korčula at 12 pm. Once we're all there, we'll go into the old town to walk through its typical cobbled streets and see its Venetian style buildings.
The first place we'll visit is St. Marks Cathedral. As well as being beautiful on the outside, it houses an altarpiece painted by Tintoretto himself. Surprising, isn't it? We'll continue to stroll around Korčula, investigating the city's past, which was dominated by Greeks, Romans and Venetians.
Other monuments that we'll see during the guided tour include the Veliki Revelin tower, Gabrielis Palace and Marco Polo's birthplace. It's believed that the most famous navigator of all times was born in Korčula in the middle of the 13th century.
After 1 hour and 30 minutes walking through the streets of this beautiful Croatian city, we'll return to the starting point and end the tour.
