Andes Cordillera Real Private Tour
Andes Cordillera Real Private Tour
At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in La Paz and set off for the Andes, the mountain range that covers the western side of South America.
During our tour, we'll explore the part located in the highlands of Bolivia. This is the Cordillera Real, which is southeast of Lake Titicaca and spans a distance of 75 miles (120 kilometres).
We'll ascend to an altitude of over 16,400 feet (5,000 metres) to Chacaltaya peak. On clear days, you can sometimes see a beautiful panoramic view of the mountain range and Lake Titicaca.
On the way, we'll see beautiful Andean landscapes and the crystal clear lagoons of the Zongo Valley. We'll then arrive at the ancient Aymara cemetery of Milluni, where we'll learn about the history behind this place and how its tombs are shaped like houses.
We'll make a stop during the journey to have a coca tea in the mountain lodge. Afterwards, we'll set off on a 45-minute hike to the foot of Huayna Potosí, one of the snow-capped peaks in the Cordillera Real.
It'll then be time to hop back on the minibus and return to La Paz, where we'll arrive back at your hotel at around 4 pm.
