Canyoning Trip in the León province
Get your adrenaline pumping in the province of León with an unforgettable canyoning trip through the Estrechos del Crispín or Valdorria canyon.
Canyoning Trip in the León province
Depending on the time you have selected in your reservation, we’ll pick you up at the bar Las Hoces, located in front of the Feve train station in La Vecilla. From this small village, located in the north of the province of León, we'll go to the Estrechos de Crispín ravine or to the Valdorria ravine. You can choose the option you prefer, whilst taking into account the level of difficulty and physical demand of each one.
You'll travel between La Vecilla and the canyon in your own car, following the guide's car, so you'll not need maps or GPS. Once we arrive at the exact location, we'll put on our wetsuits and the rest of the canyoning equipment, consisting of water booties, gloves, harnesses and helmets with a head torch.
After our equipment is ready, we'll start sliding through different waterfalls, pools, rock slides, narrow passages and other beautiful natural areas of the Leonese mountains. A fascinating journey that will provide you with a true adrenaline rush. In addition, we'll abseil over rock walls of different heights, always taking your level of experience and physical condition into account.
The duration of the activity will depend on the pace of the group, however, it roughly lasts between 3 and 4 hours and will end with us returning to the starting point in La Vecilla.
Options
When booking the canyoning activity in the province of León you can choose one of the following options:
Level I canyoning in the Crispín Straits
The Estrechos de Crispín canyoning is an initiation level 1 canyon. It consists of several natural slides and waterfalls. This incredible location offers two abseils: one 16 feet (5 metres) and the other will be a 29 feet stretch (9 metres). In addition, we’ll indulge in a soothing bath in several natural pools, a mesmerising moment including other surprises.
Level II canyoning in Valdorria
The impressive Valdorria canyon has a multitude of natural slides and if you choose this option, we'll do two abseils between 60 and 65 feet (20 and 30 metres), respectively. We'll also practice abseiling in the Cola de Caballo waterfall: a spectacular waterfall located in the Curueño river, next to the village of Nocedo.
