Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from the meeting point in Lima to kick off this day trip to Canta and the Guaya Empire. Did you know that there's a place known as the 'Machu Picchu of Lima'? Let's go exploring!

After a 3-hour drive, our first stop will be at Santa Rosa de Quives, where we'll begin the day with a delicious typical breakfast. Here, we'll visit the iconic chapel of St. Rose of Lima, a place full of history and devotion. You can't miss the chance to leave a letter at the famous wishing well!

We'll continue our journey towards the Tusho viewpoint, the ideal spot to enjoy beautiful scenic views of Canta Valley. Here, you'll get to take some photos next to monuments such as Cristo (Christ), La Mano Gigante (The Giant Hand), and La Luna (The Moon).

From here, we'll walk for 30 minutes until we reach La Merced Waterfall, surrounded by a unique landscape. As soon as we arrive, we'll find a small natural pool and a grotto dedicated to the Virgin of Mercy, where you'll be able to relax and reconnect with nature.

Following this route, after a 10-minute walk, we'll stumble across the Guaya Empire, also known as the 'Machu Picchu of Lima'. Here, you'll get to see stone-carved replicas representing ancient Peruvian cultures. We'll also visit the Museum of Ancient Cultures, home to fascinating ceramic works and artifacts from the Chavín, Moche, and Chimú civilisation.

Once we've spent 2 hours exploring this complex, we'll take you to the picturesque village of Obrajillo, where you can grab yourself a traditional lunch and even try products such as cheese and sweets. Afterwards, you'll have some time to buy some souvenirs and stroll down its charming streets. Having re-energised, we'll visit the Lucle Waterfall, which we'll reach by walking or, if you prefer, by horse or motorbike.

Before returning to Lima, we'll have one last stop at Canta, where you'll get to visit a winery to taste typical sweets, cheeses, and yoghurts. What a high note on which to end this cultural and nature-filled adventure!

Lastly, we'll return to Lima and say our goodbyes at the meeting point after a total of 16 hours.
