Manacapuru River Boat Trip
Description
At the time indicated, we'll meet at the Manacapuru River port to start our boat trip.
During the journey, we'll admire the green landscapes that surround the river. This river's waters flow to the Negro River, the biggest tributary in the Amazon.
We'll cover a route of 40 kilometres (25 miles) in Brazil's Amazon. From the boat, we'll spot tucuxi dolphins, sloths, and iguanas, as well as Victoria Amazonica, a species of giant water lilies that'll leave you astounded.
As we admire the Amazon's fauna and flora, we'll also discover why this area has one of the greatest biodiversities in the world. As we'll see, the abundance of resources and climate conditions allow species to develop in different habitats and ecosystems.
After a 6-hour route, we'll end our boat trip at the same starting point.
Hiking through the Amazon Rainforest
Between the months of September and December, during the dry season, we'll shorten the boat ride, and instead of visiting the Victoria Amazonia, we'll take a hike around the Amazon Rainforest to spot the indigenous species of flora and fauna. This walk, which will last about 30 minutes, depends on the height of the river and other weather conditions.
