    Its not a desert. Just deserted area. But i still loved every part of this trip <3 I also had a camel ride, and these camels were only camels i have seen treated well. They were not bound and their babies were on walk with them. Dinner with show was amazing and I slept like a baby in a tent. Abel was my guide and everything went well with him :)

The Agafay Desert is an expansive stone desert, located just outside the bustling city of Marrakech.

Less than 30 kilometres (18 miles) outside of Marrakech, the Agafay Desert offers the tranquil, isolated experience of the Sahara Desert, without all of the travel. Get away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the High Atlas mountains.

There are lots of ways you can experience the Agafay with Civitatis, from going on a camel ride or a quad tour to visiting a local village to learn about the traditions and culture of people living in the region. Alternatively, spend the night in this magical spot and watch the sunrise over the dunes.

How to get to the Afaday Desert

The easiest way to get to the desert is with a day trip/excursion from Marrakech. Alternatively, you can grab a taxi from the city.
