La Mola Fortress Ticket

The La Mola Fortress, also known as the Fortress of Isabel II, is one of the most interesting visits you can make on the island of Menorca.

It was built between 1848 and 1875 to defend the port of Mahon from possible attackers but it was never attacked, so it is still in perfect condition today.

As you walk through its labyrinthine underground passages you can get an idea of what life was like for the people who lived here. You can also reach the different viewpoints to obtain unbeatable views of Menorca.

You'll walk around the fortress with an audio guide that will reveal the abundant history. Did you know that the fortress also houses an old prison? You'll discover much more during the visit.

Guided Tour

If you decide to make the visit from Tuesday to Sunday at 10:30 am, you can do it for free with an expert guide. They will answer all your questions and tell you all the secrets and legends surrounding this century-old fortress.

From Tuesday to Sunday at 12:30 pm, you can also join the visit to the Vickers-Armstrong 38.1 calibre cannon. You'll be impressed by the size and the good state of conservation of this piece of artillery that arrived on the island in 1936.

At least eight people must join the guided tours in order for them to go ahead.
