Chautla Hacienda & Firefly Sanctuary Excursion
Chautla Hacienda & Firefly Sanctuary Excursion
We'll pick you up from your hotel at 7 am and begin our journey to two of the area's most picturesque places.
First, we'll head to the famous Chautla Hacienda, a historic estate spanning 60 acres. Dating back to 1777, this property is a source of mystery and legend, and features exceptionally beautiful green spaces.
The property boasts a 19-century English-style residence situated smack dab in the middle of an artificial lake. The moment you lay eyes on this historic estate, it'll come as no surprise that the building is also known as 'El Castillo' (the castle). The complex used to even have its own jail, not to mention the continent's first electric plant!
Following the visit to this unique estate, we'll head to the colonial city of Puebla, whose architectural beauty and charm will definitely leave a lasting impression on you. You'll have free time to stroll through its streets and enjoy its cuisine.
Then, we'll head towards the Santa Rita Tlahuapan region of Puebla to visit a firefly sanctuary. You'll walk through the forests of oyamel firs that surround the town to see thousands of bioluminescent insects flying all around. Truly a magical experience!
At the end of the tour, we'll return to Mexico City and drop you off back at your hotel around midnight.
