Tepito Walking Tour
Tour Details
We'll meet at the indicated time at the giant letters of Tepito, the ideal starting point to immerse ourselves in the history and essence of this emblematic neighborhood of Mexico City. Here we go!
First up, we'll explore Fray Bartolomé de las Casas Square, a place full of symbolism and tradition. Then, we'll enter the famous Tepito market, a labyrinth of stalls, full of products of all kinds like clothing, accessories, and curious items. As we make our way through the lively atmosphere, we'll be surrounded by vibrant colors, aromas, and sounds that reflect the dynamic neighborhood's spirit.
During the tour, we'll take a break to enjoy a refreshing licuachela, an original drink that mixes beer, chamoy, a kind of regional fruit, and chili powder, plus two tacos with authentic street seasoning. A perfect combination to recharge your batteries and continue discovering Tepito with the most authentic flavor.
Next, we'll continue the tour at the Tepito Cultural Center, a space dedicated to the art and history of the area. Here we'll be able to see some of the temporary exhibitions of local artists and learn more about the identity of this unique neighborhood.
Finally, we'll visit the Tequila Museum, where we'll delve into the world of different liquors and discover the secrets of traditional Mexican drinks!
Then, after 2 hours of sightseeing, we'll bring the experience to an end at this final stop.
