Teotihuacán + Tula Day Trip
Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the chosen meeting point in Mexico City and make our way towards the archaeological site of the ancient prehispanic city of Teotihuacán.
Once we arrive, we'll take a guided tour where we'll take in the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. During the tour, we'll learn about the mysterious rituals that were once carried out here. We'll also be told about the enigmatic murals that have been so well-conserved at this location.
After visiting Teotihuacán, we'll visit an obsidian workshop and there, we'll join a tequila-tasting activity. At the end of this tasting, you'll have free time for lunch.
Then, we'll make our way to the Tula Archaeological Site. Here, we'll discover the wondrous ancient city of Quetzalcoatl, the home of the Toltec culture. Did you know that it was the great capital of the central highlands of Mesoamerica? It covered an area of almost 16 km² (6.1 mi²).
During the visit, we'll tell you about its history as we walk among the ruins that now make up the archaeological site, such as Pyramid B and the Building of the Atlanteans.
We'll also visit the Burnt Palace, the Central Altar, the Coatepantli or Wall of Serpents, the Ball Courts and the Tzompantli. In addition, we'll walk through a botanical garden that adorns the area.
12.5 hours later, we'll finish the tour at the starting point in Mexico City.
