Hiking in Siete Tazas National Park
On this trekking route through the Siete Tazas National Park we'll discover this spectacular set of volcanic lagoons in the Maule region, an adventure to connect with Chilean nature!
Hiking in Siete Tazas National Park
We'll meet at 10 am at the Velo de la Novia waterfall viewpoint to enjoy a trekking route through the Siete Tazas National Park. Here we go!
First of all, we'll stop to contemplate the Velo de la Novia waterfall, which increases its flow with the thaw. Next, we'll take the Universal trail for 300 metres (984 feet) to the Siete Tazas viewpoint, where we'll find the pools of the Claro River. Did you know that they are of volcanic origin?
We'll then get into a vehicle to reach the Parque Inglés section of the park, where we'll start a two-hour hiking route. During the walk, we'll follow the Malacara trail and discover the flora of the area, which includes oaks, hualo, cypress and olivillo trees.
We'll also talk about the colobolos, parrots, condors, eagles, wood pigeons and peregrine falcons that inhabit this nature reserve. Once we finish our walk, we'll have a sandwich, a cereal bar, chocolate, ñaco and fruit. Bon appetit!
Finally, we will set off on our way back to the starting point, where we'll arrive at 4 pm.
