Why Visit the 2025 Osaka World Expo?

The 2025 Osaka World Expo will take place on the island of Yumeshima from April 13 and October 13. Under the motto of “Designing the society of the future and imagining our life of tomorrow”, this event will bring together some of the most brilliant minds and the world's most advanced technologies, with the aim of transforming society and finding solutions to global issues.

This expo will tackle key challenges under the following 3 inspiring sub-themes: “Saving lives”, “Empowering lives”, and “Connecting lives”, aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. Over the course of 6 months, visitors from all across the world will be able to explore how technological innovations and futuristic ideas can impact and change our lives for the better.

• Interactive and practical exhibitions: immerse yourself in activities designed to highlight the scientific and technological advances currently moulding our future
• Global innovations: you'll learn about cutting-edge technology brought forward by countries and organisations across the world, that explore anything from sustainable energy solutions to the medicine of tomorrow
• Living Laboratory of People: this is one of the most exciting spaces in the Expo, where you'll get to see how real challenges are tackled and how our quality of life can be improved

Ticket Options

When booking, you can choose between the following types of tickets for Expo Osaka 2025:

• 1-day ticket: this ticket gives you one-time access between April 13 to October 13, 2025. Prior registration is required.
• 1 day night ticket: you will be able to access after 5 pm, between April 13 and October 13, 2025. Pre-registration is required.
• Summer pass: this pass gives you access to the exhibition several times a day from July 19 to August 31, 2025 after 9 am. If you want this option, you will have to book it before August 31, 2025. Pre-registration is required.
• Season pass: if you choose this option, you will be able to access several times from April 13 to October 3, 2025 after 9 am. You must reserve this option before October 3, 2025. Pre-registration is required.

Important

• To verify that your age matches your ticket, you will be asked for a valid form of photo identification.
• After booking, you must register for an Expo ID and redeem your tickets. In addition, you will need to reserve your entry date and time in advance.
• Upon entry, you must present the QR code generated after linking the entry ID and complete the reservation. Please also have your photo identification on hand as a backup.
• For some specific exhibitions, reservation of a specific time slot by lottery may be required, beginning approximately two months prior to the scheduled date of visit.
• Facial identification for the Summer or Season Pass, as required by the official Expo 2025 biometric verification policy, can only be completed in Japan after arrival.
