Palermo Guided Tour of MuST23, the Anti-Mafia Museum
Tour Details
Located in the former Capaci railway station, on the outskirts of Palermo, MuST23 (Museo Stazione 23 Maggio) is an interactive museum that honors the work of Giovanni Falcone.
This judge, who worked to eradicate the Sicilian mafia, was assassinated by the Cosa Nostra on May 23, 1992, in a tragic bombing on the Capaci highway, where his wife Francesca Morvillo and bodyguards Antonio Montinaro, Vito Schifani, and Rocco Dicillo also lost their lives.
During this guided tour of the Anti-Mafia Museum, we'll relive the attack that took the life of the judge and his companions through virtual reality. We'll also explore the historical context of the time, fully immersing ourselves in 1992, a key year in the fight against the mafia, with the latest VR headsets.
Additionally, we'll hear the testimonies from survivors through recordings from that period. We'll also experience firsthand the movement that emerged after the attack, when many young people committed themselves to fighting crime, defending legality, and civic engagement.
The guided tour of the museum lasts approximately 1 hour.
