After meeting at the Plaza de la Catedral, we'll start our electric carriage ride through Panama City, where we'll see the most iconic corners of the capital. Everyone ready? Let's go!
First, we'll see the Neoclassical facade of the Metropolitan Cathedral, which has guarded the old town since the 18th century. We'll head toward the Convento de Santo Domingo, famous for its Flat Arch, a prime example of the region's Colonial architecture. From here, we'll go in search of the Plaza de Francia, which honors the French engineers who dreamed of building the Panama Canal.
We'll also pass in front of the Museum of History of Panama and the National Theatre of Panama, which is known for its frescoes and Italian-influenced details. Close by, we'll admire the Iglesia de San Francisco de Asís before reaching the Plaza San Simón Bolívar. Here, you'll see the balconies with geraniums surrounding the traditional cafés of Panamá Viejo.
Our electric carriage tour will continue in front of the Capilla de San Juan de Dios and the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Merced. Before you know it, we'll be in front of the Casa de la Municipalidad council. Afterward, we'll explore the lively Avenida Central, where the city life is seen in all of its glory among period facades and shops.
At the Cinta Costera 3, the capital's stunning marine viaduct, we'll enjoy the scenic views of the skyline of Panama City. We'll admire the wall of the old town, and we'll reach the Plaza Herrera before a quick stop in front of the Iglesia de San José and the ruins of the Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús.
Finally, we'll return to the starting point, where we'll say our goodbyes after 1 hour.
