Polignano a Mare Cooking Class
Orecchiette Workshop
The cuisine of Puglia is one of the most renowned in southern Italy. Do you want to learn how to make its most traditional recipes? To do so, we’ll meet at the venue located at 20 Via San Vito.
As soon as we arrive at this house in the historic center of Polignano a Mare, we’ll enjoy a welcome apéritif that includes focaccia and seasonal vegetables with taralli. These crunchy bread rings will make your mouth water. We’ll also accompany this snack with wine.
During this first tasting, we’ll learn some anecdotes and fun facts about typical Apulian food. We’ll then start preparing one of the most traditional recipes from this region in southern Italy: orecchiette.
Throughout the cooking class, we’ll learn how to make this type of pasta, originally from Apulia, which is handmade following a very particular process. To do so, we’ll take into account the shaping and cooking techniques.
And of course, we’ll finish this 2-hour cooking workshop by tasting the orecchiette we’ve prepared. Buon appetito!
