    We did two tours with Lara (the Prague Tour and the Communism/Nazism Tour). She was excellent! Lara was personable, a very interactive communicator who kept the whole group engaged throughout the 2-3 hours! I highly recommend this tour with her! We did two tours with Lara. She's an excellent communicator, with a sense of humor, a wealth of historical knowledge, and very approachable. She kept the group motivated for the nearly 3-hour tour. She also gave us lots of tips about the city. I highly recommend her!

The 516-metre (1,693 ft) Charles Bridge has connected the city of Prague's Old Town and Prague Castle since the early 15th century.

History

Completed in 1402 during the reign of Charles IV, the Charles Bridge replaced an old wooden bridge that connected the Old Town to the Malá Strana district. 

The Statue of St. John of Nepomuk

There are 30 statues in total placed on the Charles Bridge. The most famous of these statues is that of St. John of Nepomuk, who was thrown from the bridge in 1393 and subsequently drowned. Today, it is said that to bring good fortune (and to ensure that the visitor will return to Prague) to touch the statue.
