Rovaniemi Icebreaker Boat Cruise
Trip Details
At the appointed time, we will meet at the selected meeting point in Rovaniemi. Once we are all together, we will leave Rovaniemi behind and travel approximately 2 hours by bus to SnowCastle in Kemi.
Upon arrival, we will have between 1-1.5 hours to check in for the boat, rest, explore the ice exhibitions, and enjoy the delights of the Lumihiutale restaurant on your own.
Afterwards, we will head to the port of Kemi. There, the icebreaker will be waiting for us. We will board the ship, enjoy a welcome hot drink, and, accompanied by an English-speaking guide, visit the different areas: from the engine room to the captain's maneuvering area. You will feel like real sailors!
As we sail, you will view the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Bothnia and watch the ship break through the icy layers in its path. You can enjoy this spectacle on deck or sheltered inside.
When we are ready, we will take part in another unique experience: floating on the high seas and walking on the frozen sea, weather permitting. As the water will not exactly be warm, we will need to be well-equipped. Don't worry, special suits will protect you from the cold.
We will return to the icebreaker and begin our journey back to the port of Kemi. From there, we will return to the initial meeting point in Rovaniemi after a total of 9 to 10 hours.
Trip Options
When making your reservation, you can choose between two options:
- Tour without lunch: For this option, the icebreaker boat trip will last 3.5 hours, and lunch is not included.
- Tour with lunch: In this case, the trip will last 4 hours and you will enjoy a buffet lunch on board with drinks. The most complete option!
