Rovinj Walking Tour
Delve into the Venetian past of the Istrian Peninsula on this guided walking tour of Rovinj: discover the charms of this picturesque Croatian coastal town!
Rovinj Walking Tour
After meeting at 6:30 pm in front of the Second World War Monument on Pietra Ive Street, we'll set off on our guided walking tour of Rovinj and its most important places of interest.
Heading into the old town, we'll first explore the farmers' market. Afterwards, we'll stroll through some of the town's main streets, delving into its Venetian past and learning how Rovinj went from being an island to a peninsula. We'll make a stop in Marshal Tito Square, a favourite meeting place for locals.
We'll continue our tour climbing up to the Basilica of St Euphemia. During the walk, we'll be immersed in the medieval streets of Rovinj, a charming area full of historic buildings and handicraft shops. Having passed by the old Jewish Quarter of the town, we'll finally reach the hilltop church. We'll admire the imposing white façade of the Basilica and its bell tower, noting its similarities to the famous Campanile de San Marcos in Venice.
Our guided walking tour of Rovinj will end here at approximately 8 pm.
