During the booking process, you'll be able to choose between 2 different options. Both begin at Pl. Bouqueyre and include an English-speaking guide, admission to the wineries, and a wine tasting. Here are the details of each option:
Half-Day Tour (4 Hours 15 Minutes)
After a brief safety chat, we'll hop onto the electric bikes and begin our tour of Saint Emilion's extensive vineyards.
We'll cycle across beautiful hills, passing centuries-old vineyards and beautiful castles. During the journey, we'll tell you all about the history of the region, its particular soil, and the traditions that have led to its world-famous wines. You'll be amazed by the richness of this area!
Our first stop will be a family-run winery, where we'll uncover the secrets of the vineyard and the wine-making process, from grape to glass. Here, we'll enjoy a guided tasting of 4 wines in which we'll reveal all their characteristics and nuances.
After the tasting, you'll be able to relax in nature with a selection of cured meats and cheeses paired with wine. This is, without a doubt, the perfect moment to enjoy the beauty of the French countryside as you taste the typical regional products.
Having re-energised, we'll begin our cycle back to Saint Emilion, where this activity will culminate with another tasting of 4 wines in a wonderfully cosy venue. We'll learn to distinguish between different varieties and find out how the soil and cultivation influence its flavours.
Lastly, after a 12-kilometre (7.45-mile) route, we'll return to the meeting point and end the tour with one final toast.
- Schedule: Monday to Saturday at 2 pm and Sunday at 11 am.
Full-Day Tour (7.5 Hours)
If you want to enjoy an even more complete experience, this is the ideal option for you. We'll kick off the electric bicycle tour by visiting 2 wineries, where we'll learn in-depth about the winemaking process. After our visit, we'll have a tasting of a total of 10 wines.
Additionally, we'll make a special stop to enjoy a picnic-style lunch in the gardens of a château. We'll enjoy a selection of typical delicacies paired with, of course, an excellent wine.
After eating, we'll follow the same itinerary described in the previous option until we return to Saint Emilion, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 7.5 hours.
