Flores Island Day Tour
Day Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Rua da Esperança, 14A, to begin our complete tour of the island of Flores. Accompanied by a certified local guide, we'll start our tour to discover why this magical island can captivate everyone.
On board a minibus, our first stop will be at the viewpoint of Alagoa, followed by Ponta Ruíva. Here, we'll visit a small ethnographic museum and the viewpoint of Ilhéu Furado, from where we'll admire a fascinating rock formation. We'll continue north to enjoy the views of the viewpoint of Ponta Delgada Cedros and the islet of Maria Vaz.
One of the highlights of the day will be the area of the 7 Lagoas, volcanic calderas that make dreamy landscapes. We'll also see the huge basalt columns of the Rocha dos Bordões and make strategic stops at the viewpoints of Portal and Craveiro Lopes to take in the best scenic views of the island.
After visiting the Vila das Lajes and its historic church, it'll be the moment to revitalize. We'll enjoy a typical lunch at a local restaurant, where we'll taste the region's cuisine.
Once we've eaten, we'll head to two of the most paradisiacal places of the Azores: the Poço da Ribeira do Ferreiro and the spectacular waterfall of Poço do Bacalhau, in the area of Fajã Grande. Finally, after 7 hours, we'll return to the starting point.
