Activity Details
At the indicated time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Santiago de Chile and begin a scenic journey toward the majestic Cajón del Maipo. During the approximately 2.5 hour drive, you’ll take in the beauty of the Andes and the surrounding nature.
Upon arrival at the base camp, you’ll receive a warm welcome and be equipped with a helmet, life jacket, and wetsuit. Here, you’ll learn paddling techniques and receive all the necessary instructions to enjoy the activity safely.
Next, you’ll begin the rafting descent. Fed by Andean snowmelt, the Maipo River awaits with Class III and IV rapids. These powerful sections turn the experience into a true aquatic adventure. During the approximately 2 hour ride, a guide will accompany the group in an individual kayak, marking the route and providing assistance on the most challenging stretches of the river.
After conquering the rapids, we’ll take a break on solid ground to enjoy a well-earned reward. We’ll recharge with juice and a platter of nuts and cheeses in a relaxed atmosphere where you can share laughs and stories from the adventure.
Finally, we’ll return to Santiago and say our goodbyes at your hotel after a total of 8.5 hours.
