At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Santo Domingo and set off on a 1.5-hour trip to explore one of the most breathtaking natural sites in the Dominican Republic. Ready for a hike through Bonao? We promise you’ll fall in love with it!
Known as one of the country’s top ecotourism destinations, Bonao, in the province of Monseñor Nouel, boasts landscapes featuring waterfalls, rivers, and tropical forests.
Once we arrive at the starting point and before we begin the hike, we’ll fuel up with a breakfast of a sandwich, juice, and fruit. With our energy recharged, we’ll begin our hiking route along Bonao’s dirt trails.
During the approximately 8-kilometer (5-mile) hike, we’ll cross rivers, learn about the local vegetation, and stop at various lookouts to take in the scenery.
Of course, we’ll visit the Bonao waterfalls, where we’ll stop at Salto del Berro to swim in its natural pools and relax to the sound of the water.
Feeling hungry? Upon returning to the starting point, we'll enjoy a traditional Dominican meal, the perfect way to recharge after an active day. Lunch includes rice, beans, chicken, salad, and tostones. A true local classic!
Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Santo Domingo, ending the experience approximately 12 hours later.
