Description

We'll meet at 10 am by the Setas de Sevilla to kick off a journey that will lead us through the northern sector of the historic center of this Andalusian capital. Ready? Let's get started!

Our stroll will commence along Feria Street, where we'll appreciate the facades of emblematic landmarks like the Church of San Juan de la Palma and the Parish of Omnium Sanctorum. Interestingly, the latter was constructed atop an Almohad mosque. Did you know that Seville's oldest street market finds its home here?

Gradually, we'll delve into the heart of the Macarena neighborhood. We'll encounter a medieval gate and well-preserved walls that still stand to this day. A highlight will be a tour of the Basilica of La Macarena!

Continuing on, we'll traverse the Cardo Maximus, learning about the Roman Empire's impact on Seville's urban layout. From there, we'll journey forward in time, all while the guide shares insightful explanations, until we reach the Church of San Luis de los Franceses. We'll stop to marvel at this remarkable example of Sevillian baroque from the outside.

Then, we'll leave the Macarena neighborhood and head to the renowned Palacio de las Dueñas, a famed residence of the House of Alba. Amidst its gardens and various rooms, we'll absorb the distinct Andalusian character that permeates every corner of this structure.

As the clock approaches 1:30 pm, our journey will conclude outside the Palacio de las Dueñas.
