Pisa & Lucca Day Trip
Trip Details
We'll start the day by meeting at Siena Railway Station, where we'll board a bus and travel through the picturesque Tuscany hills. The landscape alone is an experience in itself!
After nearly 2 hours of travel, our first stop will be Pisa, home of the Leaning Tower, one of the most photographed monuments in the world.
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by the grandeur of the Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage treasure. We will enjoy a 1-hour guided tour of this iconic site. During the tour, we'll explore the history, architecture, and fascinating details of the Baptistery, Cathedral, and Camposanto Monumentale.
Of course, we’ll explain what really happens to the Leaning Tower, along with the rich symbolism of every corner of the square. After the guided tour, you'll have 1 hour of free time to explore Pisa at your own pace, take photos, stroll through the city center, or enjoy a coffee in one of its charming cafés.
In the afternoon, we'll head to Lucca, a city that will captivate you with its peaceful atmosphere and well-preserved Renaissance walls. Here, we'll have a delicious lunch featuring a selection of local cold cuts and cheeses, regional wines, and an Italian espresso.
With lunch complete, you’ll have 2 hours of free time to soak in Lucca’s atmosphere. We recommend walking along the top of the city walls for spectacular views, visiting St. Martin's Cathedral, or exploring the old town shops to buy local products.
After a day full of discoveries, we'll return to Siena, concluding this 11-hour and 30-minute trip at the original meeting point.
