Great Barrier Reef Tour: 3 Days
We'll meet at 8:30 am in front of The Big Pineapple, on the Sunshine Coast, and board a bus towards Australia Zoo in Queensland.
It will take just 20 minutes to reach our destination, and begin our tour around the site to meet the country's wildlife. You'll see kangaroos, koalas, crocodiles and wombats!
After this visit, we'll go to the hotel to leave our suitcase and put our swimsuits on in preparation for snorkeling at the resort's beach. Afterwards, we'll visit the Mon Repos Turtle Centre where we'll learn about the preservation of these reptiles, and see some up close.
After breakfast, we'll get on a boat and head towards the Australian Great Barrier Reef.
Did you know that from June to November you can see humpback whales in this area? Keep an eye out! Don't worry if you don't see one though, you're bound to see a dolphin or two next to the boat.
On arrival at our destination, we'll put our snorkel equipment on and jump into the sea to explore the unique ecosystem. If you don't know how to swim, there's no problem you can also see the Great Barrier Reef from the glass-bottom boat.
Next, we'll carry on to Lady Musgrave Island to wander around the charming island and see its native wildlife. Then we'll go back to the hotel to rest.
On the last day of the tour, you'll spend the morning enjoying free time. There are many activities that you can make the most of at the resort including snorkeling, surfing classes and a visit to a rum distillery. Or you can choose to relax on the beach and enjoy the sun.
After lunch, we'll get on the bus and take you to the starting point on the Sunshine Coast, arriving at 5:15 am.
The 3 Day Tour includes 2 nights accommodation in a standard shared double room at Kelly's Beach Resort, Queensland. Also included are two continental breakfasts, three lunch meals and two evening meals.
