Day Trip Details

We’ll pick you up at the scheduled time from your hotel in Tangier and, from there, we’ll set off on a journey of approximately 1 hour toward Tetouan, known as Morocco’s white city.

Once we reach our destination, we’ll take a 2-hour guided tour of Tetouan’s historic center. We’ll begin this walk by exploring the picturesque alleyways of the Medina, declared a World Heritage Site. In this exotic neighborhood, we’ll see a unique blend of Andalusian art and traditional Moroccan architecture.

Along the route through the Medina of Tetouan, we’ll see numerous artisan stalls such as leatherworkers, weavers, jewelers, tanners, and other traditional trades. We’ll also pass by some of the most emblematic sites in the old town, such as the Archaeological Museum and the Royal Palace, located in Mechouar Square, the former Plaza de España.

We’ll continue the tour in Tetouan’s Jewish quarter, where we’ll discover its extraordinary Hebrew heritage. Our steps will also take us to the Ensanche, the Spanish quarter. In this district, we'll see the Church of Our Lady of Victories, a neo-Mudejar temple from 1925 that stands out for the intense yellow color of its façade.

After admiring the architecture of this church and other gems of Tetouan’s Spanish quarter, you’ll have 1.5 hours of free time to recharge and explore the streets and squares you liked the most.

After lunch, we’ll meet again in the center of Tetouan to begin the return journey to your hotel in Tangier, where arrival is scheduled 5.5 hours after pickup.

Day Trip Without a Guide

If you choose this option, you’ll have the whole day free in Tetouan to explore the old town of the white city at your own pace.

Hotel Pickup

This day trip includes pickup from hotels and tourist accommodations located within a 5-kilometer radius of the center of Tangier. Please note that pickup is not included from more remote establishments such as Al Houara Resort, MIA Urban, Al Hajrienne, Achakar, and Rmilat.
