Khujand Private Day Trip
Tour Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Tashkent for a 2.5-hour drive to Khujand. Ready to cross the border into Tajikistan?
Upon arrival at our destination, we'll embark on a tour of Khujand, one of the oldest cities in Central Asia. Did you know that it was an important point on the Silk Road? Today, it's a cultural and commercial centre famous for its market and ethnic diversity.
Our first stop will be the Khujand Palace, inspired by the Peterhof Palace in St. Petersburg, a symbol of Tajikistan's cultural renaissance! Nearby is the Khujand Fortress and the Museum of Archaeology.
Next, we'll visit the 15th century Mausoleum of Sheikh Muslihiddin. It's named after Sheikh Muslihiddin, a prominent theologian and religious figure in the region. Of particular note is the mausoleum, which houses the tomb of Sheikh Muslihiddin and is an important place of pilgrimage.
Finally, we'll pay a visit to the Orthodox Church of Mary Magdalene and, lastly, you'll have some free time for shopping at the Panjshanbe Bazaar, one of the largest and most colourful markets in the city.
After enjoying the charm and history of Khujand, we'll conclude this 10-hour day trip by dropping you off at your hotel in Tashkent.
