Activity Details
We'll pick you up at the indicated time at the Tours Tourism Office and drive by minibus to Villesavin. This beautiful château, located in the commune of Tour-en-Sologne, is part of the famous monumental ensemble of the Loire châteaux.
Upon arrival at Villesavin Château, you'll embark on an exciting tour by electric bike. The 45-minute ride will take you through the forests between Villesavin and Chambord, an unforgettable ride through one of the most beautiful parts of the Loire Valley!
We'll finish this first bike route at the Chambord Château, where we'll have a guided tour of its rooms. Did you know that this palace is considered the great architectural jewel of the French Renaissance? During the tour of the château, we'll see the favourite rooms of King François I. We'll also discover the areas whose design is attributed to Leonardo da Vinci himself.
At the end of the tour of the Chambord Château, you'll have an hour free to eat in the château's restaurant or at one of the food stalls in the surrounding area. After eating, we'll cycle back to Villesavin Château for a guided tour. During the tour, we'll learn about the history of Jean le Breton, a minister of François I who was the driving force behind the construction of Villesavin and supervised the works at Chambord.
To finish the tour of Villesavin Château, we'll enjoy a tasting of typical products in this château. This tasting includes delicious specialities such as apple juice, strawberries and biscuits made in the Chambord factory.
After the tasting, we'll return by minibus to the meeting point in Tours, where we'll conclude this 9-hour activity.
