PADI Open Water Diving Course in Tulum
Beginner-Level Official Scuba Diving Course
Day 1 and 2: Theory and Confined Water
On the first day, we'll meet at a dive academy on Sagitario Street to kickstart our PADI Open Water course in Tulum.
The first and second day focuses on a theory introduction to scuba diving—an essential step toward obtaining the official diving diploma. You'll learn the intricacies of diving equipment, review safety protocols, and grasp underwater communication signals.
We'll conclude the day with a brief knowledge test to ensure the assimilation of fundamental concepts. Then, you'll get to practice diving in confined waters to familiarise yourself with this exhilarating sport. Bid farewell at the academy after a six-hour session on both days, looking forward to more exciting adventures tomorrow!
Day 3: Coral Reef Dive
For the third day of the PADI Open Water Diver course, our meeting point remains the academy at the same time. Upon arrival, we'll hop in a car heading to the outskirts of Tulum, specifically to Casa Cenote—an area close to the Caribbean Sea. Imagine diving in this sacred place for the Mayas!
On this day, we'll do a total of four dives, exploring both the cenote and the reefs near this natural site, reaching depths of 18 meters (60 feet)!
The duration of the course on these days will also fall within the five to six-hour range. We'll conclude the activity at the academy, presenting you with your international diving certificate—now officially a diver!
