Activity Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Zanzibar to take you to the airport. From there, you'll take a 1-hour flight that will take you directly to the Nyerere National Park, the largest park in Tanzania and one of the most important animal sanctuaries in the world.
Once we've landed, we'll board an off-roading vehicle to begin an exciting safari in the heart of this reserve. During the safari, you'll have a guide specialized in wild fauna who will help you spot the animals and tell you facts about their behavior and habitat. The adventure starts!
We'll explore the plains of Nyerere, which stretch over 19,305 mi² (50,000 km²). Amazing, right? You'll see elephants, lions, buffalo, leopards, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and African wild dogs, among other animals.
At mid-morning, we'll make a short stop for a coffee or tea in the middle of the savannah, surrounded by the majestic African landscape. Afterward, we'll continue our safari route as we search for wildlife in their natural habitat. Keep your camera close!
In the afternoon, we'll stop to enjoy a bush-style lunch in nature, including rice, chicken, beans, fruit, juice, and water. This style of lunch is served outdoors, with tables and chairs set among trees. It'll be a flavorful and unforgettable experience!
After lunch, we'll resume our journey through the park to continue exploring its trails and spot more native fauna. From herds of antelopes to exotic birds soaring the savannah sky—every curve along the way can offer a new surprise you'll love!
About 8 hours after arriving at the Nyerere National Park, we'll conclude our safari and start our journey back to Zanzibar. Once we land on the island, we'll take you to your hotel, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 10.5 to 14 hours, depending on the location of your hotel.
