Nerja & White Villages Small Group Day Trip
Description
At 10 am, we'll meet at Paseo de la Farola in Malaga, where we'll begin a forty-five-minute trip by minibus to Nerja.
Our first stop of the day will be Mirador del Bendito, a viewpoint offering beautiful views of Carabeillo Beach and the Alboran Sea. Then, we'll visit what's known as the 'Balcony of Europe' (Balcón de Europa), an old fortress that has become one of the area's most visited spots, offering incredible panoramic views of the horizon.
After we get our fill of photos, we'll move on to explore Calahonda Beach, the Church of El Salvador and El Salón Beach. After spending an hour and a half in Nerja, the group will hit the road towards Frigiliana, one of the area's most charming pueblos blancos (Andalusia's picturesque 'white villages').
Once we arrive in this quaint village, you'll have the opportunity to admire the Palace of the Counts of Frigiliana (Palacio de los Condes). Also known as 'El Ingenio,' you'll learn all about the history of this 16th-century construction. Then, our guide will take us through the historic center of the village and tell you about one of the town's most prized products: cane honey.
You'll then have over an hour of free time to get lunch in Frigiliana. As an alternative, if the group prefers, we can continue straight to El Acebuchal and eat there.
After lunch, we'll go on a 30-minute guided tour through the enchanting streets of El Acebuchal, learning all about its history and why it has been dubbed the 'Lost Village.'
The tour will end back at our starting point in Malaga, arriving around 5 pm.
