Muir Woods and Wine Country Tour

Tour Details

After picking you up from your selected location first thing in the morning, we'll leave San Francisco behind and head north, crossing the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

Our first stop will be at Muir Woods, a significant U.S. National Monument located atop Mount Tam, one of the highest points in the county.

On the way to Muir Woods, you’ll learn about the world’s largest trees: the giant sequoias. Upon arrival at the National Monument, you’ll have an hour to explore the park at your leisure, taking in the fresh air as you stroll along the streams and wooded trails.

We'll continue toward Sonoma Valley, the heart of California's wine country. Before lunch, we’ll visit our first vineyard for a wine tasting to sample some of their exquisite wines. Afterward, we’ll stop at Sonoma Plaza, where you’ll have an hour to enjoy lunch on your own and explore the historic square.

Next, we’ll head to Napa Valley to visit two more wineries. Here, you’ll savor a variety of California wines while taking in the picturesque views of the surrounding hills.

After our final tasting, we’ll make our way back south, pausing along the way for photo opportunities of the stunning Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco skyline, and Alcatraz.

Finally, we'll say our goodbyes at the meeting point after a total of 10 hours. 

Lunch at Sonoma Plaza

If you'd like to enhance your experience with a taste of local cuisine, you can opt for the lunch package. This includes a delightful three-course meal paired with California wines at a charming restaurant in the heart of Sonoma Plaza. The lunch includes the following options:

First course:

• A small dish of cheeses accompanied by fresh fruit

Second course (to choose one):

• White bean and vegetable soup with almond and arugula pesto
• Classic Caesar salad with hearts of romaine lettuce and the restaurant's homemade dressing

Third course (to choose one):

• Grilled salmon on sautéed vegetables with a balsamic reduction
• Rigatoni Bolognese with pork and beef in homemade marinara sauce
• Fusilli with arugula almond pesto and parmesan cheese
• Scaloppini chicken with mashed potatoes, sautéed spinach, and butter sauce with capers
• Angus beef hamburger (½ lb) with Jack cheese and French fries

Some dishes have gluten-free alternatives.

This option does not incur extra costs for children, as you only pay for what you order from the menu at the restaurant.
