Travel through the Algarve's dreamlike landscapes and get to know the most deeply rooted Portuguese traditions with one of our private tours from Albufeira. You'll have an exclusive guide for you and your partner, family or friends.

Our Private Excursions

If you're spending a few days in Albufeira and want an exclusive way to explore some of the most emblematic spots in the south of Portugal, don't hesitate to book one of our private excursions. All our trips start at 8 am and last between 9 and 10 hours. They also all include hotel pickup, minibus transportation and an English-speaking guide. Below, you can see the details of each tour:

Faro, Tavira & Olhão Excursion (9 hours)

The first stop will be in Olhão, a small village where we'll visit the local market to see the most typical products. Then, we'll set off for Tavira, a town full of cobblestone streets and traces of Moorish influence. Here, you'll visit the 13th-century church of Santa Maria do Castelo

Next, we'll continue to Santa Luzia, where you'll have an hour of free time for lunch. With your batteries recharged, we'll continue on to Faro, the capital of the Algarve. You'll enjoy a guided tour of the historic center and visit the cathedral and the ossuary of Capela dos Ossos (Chapel of Bones). If you wish, you can even go on a one-hour cruise on the Ria Formosa. The itinerary for this excursion will be similar to the Algarve Old Towns Tour

  • Schedule: departures on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Vicentina Coast Excursion (9 hours)

First, we'll head to the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park, a unique natural environment full of native species and stunning landscapes. Then we'll travel to Carrapateira, an enclave that was the main focus of pirate attacks for over 300 years. There, we'll visit the Carrapateira Sea and Land Museum to learn about the importance of fishing and agriculture in the region.

Our next stop will be in Aljezur, where you'll have some free time for lunch. Afterward, your guide will take you to two local gems: Arrifana Beach and Monte Clerigo Beach - both of which boast high cliffs that will leave you speechless. This route will be similar to that of the Costa Vicentina Guided Tour.

  • Schedule: departures on Mondays.

Sagres, Lagos & Cape St. Vincent Excursion (10 hours)

We'll start at the famous Cape St. Vincent, what the Romans called the Promontorium Sacrum. Here, you'll enjoy exquisite views of the Atlantic and marvel at the iconic lighthouse standing inside a 16th-century fortress. Then, we'll head down to Sagres, a place famous for its immense beaches and annual visits from thousands of surfers in search of the perfect wave. Nearby, you'll also get to see the ruins of the fortress of Baleeira, a 16th-century fort marked by a history of pirates

At our next stop in Ponta da Piedade, you'll see how erosion created a rocky paradise full of caves and arches. Then, we'll continue our journey to Lagos, where you'll get the chance to see a collection of monuments ranging from Moorish walls to the most picturesque baroque churches. If you want, you can also take a panoramic boat tour for an hour. The experience will be similar to the Algarve Day Trip to Sagres, Lagos & Cape St. Vincent.

  • Schedule: departures on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Inland Algarve Excursion (10 hours)

Beginning in Loulé, you'll enjoy a stroll through the historic center and admire the remains of the wall, erected in 1268. You'll also visit the gorgeous building that houses the local market, an Arab-style palace-like construction. We will also visit a cork factory, the top product in this area of Portugal, and learn about the processing of this important material.

Next stop? São Brás de Alportel, where you will have free time to taste some of the local products. Lastly, we'll visit the most typical village of the Algarve: Alte. Here, you'll admire the bold earthy tones of red, blue, orange and white on the buildings. This tour will be similar to the Inland Algarve Tour.

  • Schedule: departures on Wednesdays.
