Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll begin this private walking tour of Arcachon from the Tourism Office. Ready to discover one of the most beautiful cities in Nouvelle-Aquitaine?

Arcachon is especially known for the Dune of Pilat, the tallest sand dune in Europe. It reaches a height of 115 m (377 ft)! Although we won't visit it, as it's located on the outskirts of the town, we'll speak about its landscapes as we take a stroll through the old town.

The town is divided into four districts: the summer town, located in the centre, the winter town, which stands out for its 19th-century villas, the autumn town, where the harbour is located, and the spring town, where the beaches are located.

We'll especially visit the summer town, the old town, where we'll see the elegant building of the Casino d'Arcachon from the outside. We'll also pass by the Place des Marquises, next to the Town Hall.

Our tour will continue as we visit the Mauresque Park, from where we'll have a beautiful panoramic view of Arcachon. After enjoying the view, we'll admire the 19th-century mansions of the winter town.

From this area, we'll head back to the historic centre, where we'll conclude this 2-hour private tour. Until next time!
