Hobbiton & Waitomo Caves Tour
Hobbiton & Waitomo Caves Tour
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your accommodation in the centre of Auckland before setting off on a two-hour journey to Matamata. Welcome to Middle-earth!
When we arrive, we'll step out into a magical universe where we'll admire the beautiful velvety green landscapes of Hobbiton, with its hills covered in Hobbit Holes. Before we know it, we'll have been transported into Peter Jackson's universe!
We'll start to explore Hobbiton as we learn all about the filming of "The Lord of The Rings" saga. We'll discover all the iconic elements of this incredible movie set, such as Bilbo Baggins' home, the Mill and even the Green Dragon Inn, where you'll get to enjoy a specially brewed beverage. Additionally, you'll be able to visit one of the Hobbit Holes!
Afterwards, we'll head to Waitomo to visit its famous caves. We'll go on a boat ride along the underground river and marvel at the walls of the cave lit up like a starry night sky by glowworms! A once-in-a-lifetime experience that will take your breath away.
At the end of the trip, we'll make our way back to Auckland, arriving after between 11 and 12 hours of activity.
