Aix-en-Provence & Verdon Gorge Day Trip

We'll depart from the Cours Jean Jaurès in Avignon at 9 am. After an hour's journey, we'll make our first stop in the city of Aix-en-Provence.

Did you know the name of its most famous avenue? Cours Mirabeau is an elegant street with beautiful fountains and large mansions. We'll also stop at the popular Provençal market, where you'll have time to wander around the market stalls. Before leaving the city, we'll visit a traditional bakery to taste Aix-en-Provence's most famous sweet treat, the delicious calissons!

The tour will continue towards the Valensole plateau. Make sure not to forget your camera to remember the impressive landscape! If you take the tour between 10th June and 20th July, we'll be able to see the famous lavender fields dyed with their characteristic violet colour.

From there, we'll go to the picturesque village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, where you'll have an hour for lunch. You'll be surprised by the Provencal cuisine! After lunch, we'll head to the Gorges du Verdon.

We'll make a brief stop to photograph this spectacular canyon. Nearby is the Sainte-Croix lake, where you'll also have the chance to take pictures, its intense turquoise colour contrasting with the surrounding mountains!

Finally, we'll return to Avignon and arrive at the Cours Jean Jaurès at 7 pm.

Minimum age

The minimum age to take part in this activity is 4 years old.
