Atacama Coast Excursion

Description

We'll pick you up at your hotel between 8 and 9 am, and head towards the coastal region of Atacama to discover the beauty of the Southern Pacific region of Chile.

As we go by bus, we'll enjoy impressive panoramic views of Hacienda María Isabel, boasting extensive fields of olive and lime trees. Here we'll notice the stark contrast between fertile ground and arid Atacama desert.

After passing Angostura, we arrive at the mouth of the Copiapó River. Here we'll embark on a small hike, getting a closer look at the local flora and fauna. We'll also talk about why the high amount of salt in these waters is especially crucial for the rich ecosystem.

Our next stop is Puerto Viejo, where we'll have a quick snack break to try some local products of the region before arriving at Playa Blanca nearby. We'll take some photos and then change into our bathing suits for a swim in Playa La Virgen!

We'll have around 3 hours to enjoy Playa La Virgen, have lunch, and walk along the beautiful white sand beach in this region of Atacama.

The day ends between 5:30 and 6:30 pm and we drop you off at your hotel.
