Tour Details

Did you know Circuito Chico is Bariloche's most iconic scenic route? To explore it, we'll meet at the designated time at San Martín 398, and once we're ready, we'll board a vehicle that will take us to the most beautiful corners of the Argentine Patagonia

First, we'll border the Nahuel Huapi Lake along the Avenida Exequiel Bustillo. As we advance, we'll pass through the Melipal neighborhood, filled with traditional pioneer houses, blooming gardens in summer, and a landscape of yellow brooms, musk roses, and strawberry and raspberry plantations. Dreamy!

After exploring 4.97 miles (8 kilometers), we'll make our first stop at Playa Bonita, where you'll see the historic Huemul Island. Did you know secret labs were built here for an old nuclear project? Then, we'll pass by Serene Bay and ascend to Cerro Campanario on a chairlift, where an unforgettable view awaits. Landscapes of lakes, mountains, and native forests in their splendor!

We'll continue toward the Llao Llao Peninsula and stop at Puerto Pañuelo, in front of the San Eduardo Parish and the popular Llao Llao Hotel, surrounded by golf fields. We'll also step into the Llao Llao Municipal Park, among ancient coihues, where we'll go on a hike on its trails.

After this hike, we'll return to the vehicle and admire Villa Tacul and Escondido Lake until we reach one of the most special spots of the tour: the Panoramic Point of Circuito Chico. This fantastic viewpoint offers beautiful views of the snowy mountains that surround the region's lakes. It'll be a privileged view!

Then, we'll walk on the shores of Argentino Lake until we reach the trail to access Colonia Suiza. Once we arrive, we'll explore this historic town of Swiss immigrants.

Here, you'll see traditional period houses, a craft fair, and the famous curanto, a typical dish with a variety of meats cooked underground using hot stones from the lake. You'll witness the "destape" ceremony, the moment when the leaves and cloths covering the food are lifted. You can taste this smoked delicacy on your own. Don't miss it!

After 2 hours touring Colonia Suiza, we'll start our journey back to Bariloche, where we'll say our goodbyes at the meeting point after 8 hours.
