Colonia Suiza & Villa Los Coihues Bike Tour
Activity Details
Calling all lovers of cycling! We'll begin our adventure after meeting at the indicated time at the Indómito Hostel, on the banks of the Gutiérrez Lake. Once we're all together, we'll give you your bikes and helmets and we'll go over the route.
We'll hop onto our bikes and cycle along the trails of Villa Los Coihues, heading towards the slopes of San Martin Hill. We'll skirt this hill until we reach the road uphill in search of Villa Catedral. We'll cross this stretch to follow the path towards the Casa de Piedra River.
There, we'll make the first stop of the route to enjoy a comforting mate with some sweet snacks called facturas. Wonder what they taste like? You'll love them!
We'll continue cycling along the river until we reach the Viento Beach, a place that will welcome us with its peaceful atmosphere and some of the most special and characteristic views of the Argentinean Patagonia. Our ride will continue along the old road to Colonia Suiza, bordering the Perito Moreno Lake, adorned by the snow-capped mountains around it. Cameras at the ready?
Next, we'll arrive in the heart of Colonia Suiza, founded in the 19th century by Swiss and German immigrants. We'll then leave you free time to explore the town, visit the Sunday fair and taste its food. Have you ever tasted the famous curanto de Bariloche? Here, you can enjoy this delicious dish, where meat and vegetables are cooked over hot stones.
Finally, we'll say goodbye in the centre of Colonia Suiza after a total of 4 hours.
