If you want to travel comfortably between Bogotá and one of the most beautiful towns in Colombia, this transfer between Bogotá and Zipaquirá is the perfect option.
We’ll pick you up at the meeting point you select when booking. From there, you’ll travel in a comfortable car or minibus and relax during the journey, which takes about 2 hours.
In Bogotá, we recommend exploring the historic neighborhood of La Candelaria, where you can admire street art and visit the Gold Museum. You can also head up Monserrate Hill to enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the city.
In Zipaquirá, the main attraction is the famous Salt Cathedral, an impressive architectural masterpiece built inside the tunnels of a salt mine 180 meters (590 feet) underground. Outside the cathedral, the historic center of Zipaquirá is a beautiful colonial area surrounded by notable buildings such as the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.
How it Works
When booking, you’ll need to choose between three available options:
- One-way to Zipaquirá: we’ll pick you up from your hotel in the northern area of Bogotá and take you to the location of your choice in Zipaquirá, either the city center or the Salt Cathedral. If you’re staying in southern Bogotá, pickup will be at the National Museum.
- One-way to Bogotá: we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Zipaquirá or at the Salt Cathedral.
- Round-trip transport: the most complete option, allowing you to travel to Zipaquirá and return to your chosen starting point the same day.
Departure Schedules
Regardless of whether you choose hotel pickup or a meeting point, the following schedules apply:
- If you choose transport from Bogotá to Zipaquirá, pickup is at 7 am.
- If you choose transport from Zipaquirá to Bogotá, pickup is at 4 pm.
- If you book the round-trip option, the schedule is the same: departure at 7 am and return at 4 pm.
Children Under 3 Years Old
Children under 3 can travel for free but must sit on the lap of a parent or guardian.
Salt Cathedral Ticket
