Discover the delicious gastronomy of Bordeaux when you take our fantastic free guided tour during which you will taste some of the region's top specialties.
Free Food Tour of Bordeaux
Our free gastronomy tour through the center of Bordeaux begins under the Tour Pey Berland, situated next to the city's beautiful gothic cathedral.
During our tour, we will visit a total of five establishments around the capital of the New Aquitaine region in search of traditional flavors. The sweets of Bordeaux are among the city's most famous exports. You will find out for yourself why they are so highly-regarded when you enjoy a delicious tasting of Noisettines (caramelized hazelnuts) and assorted chocolates. We will accompany these tiny treats with a glass of Cacolac, a refreshing drink that, as its name suggests, is prepared from milk and cocoa.
We will also go to other well-known cafes in Bordeaux for you to try other traditional desserts of the region: the Canelés (typical sponge cakes) and the Dunes Blanches (confit balls filled with cream). Treats to make your mouth water!
Back in the center of Bordeaux, we will give you recommendations for places where you can try the exquisite local pastries.
