1.5 Hour Hungarian Folk Performance
Enjoy a magical evening in an unparalleled setting, where one of the best Hungarian Folk ensembles will offer you the best examples of Hungarian traditional Maygar dancing.
Show
Budapest’s most famous Folklore music groups are: Hungarian State Folk Ensemble, Danube Folk Ensemble and Rajkó Folk Ensemble. All three groups were established between 1951 and 1957. Each group is made up of 30 artists, who prepare Hungarian traditional choreographies.
The performance is 90-minutes long with a 10-minute interval after the first 45 minutes.
Danube Palace
The Danube Palace, Duna Palota in Hungarian, was built in 1883 in a neo-Barroque style as a club for entertainment to house concerts, exhibitions and numerous cultural events. When it was first opened it was called Casino of Lipótváros.
This concert hall is the perfect scenery to admire one of the country’s most time-honored cultural activities: Hungarian folk music and dance.
The backdrop, the captivating music and colorful dancing will make this evening unforgettable.
