Tulum Day Trip + Maya Purification Ceremony
Activity Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Cancun and head to Tulum. During the 2-hour drive, we'll learn about the history of the Maya civilization and the importance of this region within the Yucatan Peninsula.
Before entering the archaeological site, we'll make a very special stop at a Maya community. Here, a shaman will welcome us with a purification ceremony, an ancestral tradition that seeks to cleanse the energies and connect with the spirituality of the region —a unique experience!
After this cultural immersion, we'll begin our guided tour of the ruins of Tulum. For 1 hour, we'll tour this ancient Maya port which, thanks to its privileged location on a cliff, offers spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea.
Along the way, we'll tell you fascinating stories about the function of each structure and the way of life of the ancient inhabitants of Tulum. Did you know that this was one of the last Maya settlements to be abandoned?
After the tour, you'll have an hour of free time to explore the area at your own pace, take pictures and enjoy the scenery. You can stroll among temples and walls and feel the sea breeze while contemplating the intense blue of the Caribbean.
With your camera full of memories and your spirits renewed, we'll start our way back to Cancun, where we'll arrive 7 hours later.
Hotel Pickup
This tour includes pickup from hotels located in the Cancun Hotel Zone. If you are staying outside this area, we'll contact you after booking to arrange an alternative meeting point.
